Student Transportation of America is inviting Jacksonville-area non-profit organizations to help raise awareness for our School Bus Driver job opportunities, while giving back directly to the neighborhoods we serve with tax-free donations to your local charity.

HOW IT WORKS

Step One

Complete your bus driver pre-application online and select “Charitable Organization” on the final screen before clicking the SUBMIT button.
Step Two

Provide your non-profit organization’s IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter to your local STA Recruiter to verify the charity’s status.
Step Three

$500 will be paid to your organization upon completion of all training, background screening, and the new driver’s first day on the job, with the remaining $500 paid after 45 days.

Qualifying candidates are also eligible for a

DETAILS

Any registered 501(c)(3) organization in the Jacksonville, Florida, area is eligible to participate in STA’s $1000 referral donation program.

To partake in the donation program, any member of the 501(c)(3) organization interested in a career with STA must complete their pre-application on our website. On the final step of the pre-application, candidates should select “Charitable Organization” from the dropdown menu for the question, “How did you hear about us?”

Candidates must complete all STA training, pass all necessary background screening, and be hired by one of STA’s Jacksonville-area operations in order to be considered a “qualifying referral”.

Before any of the referral donation can be paid to the 501(c)(3) organization, a copy of the organization’s IRS/501(c)(3) determination letter must be submitted to STA in order to verify tax-exempt status.

The 501(c)(3) organization will receive the first half of the referral donation ($500) upon completion of the candidate’s first official work day with STA. The second half of the donation ($500) will be paid to the 501(c)(3) organization once the candidate has completed 45 days of work with STA.

STA’s referral donation program is limited to new candidates only, beginning on November 1, 2021.

There is no limit to how many candidates a locally registered 501(c)(3) organization can refer to STA. All guidelines and stipulations outlined herein must be met before any donation money can be paid.
